Sounding Joy is an ensemble of 30-40 women singers, selected by audition, who come together for the joy of singing choral music of many styles and cultures. We strive for excellence in our music-making and generosity in the personal support we give each other. Our spring season 2017 will begin on January 12 from 7:00-9:00 with an open rehearsal for returning singers and potential new singers (without obligation to commit). Rehearsals are held every Thursday in room 114 of Grant Hall at the rear of the Norton Center for the Arts in Danville, KY.  Our first rehearsal each season is open to any potential new member who would like to find out more about us and what we do.  If you are interested in joining after the rehearsal you can set up a brief and non-threatening audition with the conductor, Barbara Hall ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or 859-319-8749).  These auditions are primarily to determine range and voice part.  If you cannot attend the rehearsal on 1/12/17 but are interested in joining the group, please contact the conductor.

Come join us on Thursday, January 12 at 7:00 in room Grant 114, also called the Audrey Gillespie Recital Hall, at the back of the Norton Center for the Arts!
